What this site is

It is a shop window for a small list of humour books and a set of free pages about the things those books cover. You cannot buy anything here. Every purchase link goes to Amazon, and your purchase is a contract with Amazon rather than with us.

The books are jokes

Every Home Truths book is a joke book. Where a book prints a figure under a named source, that figure is exact and the source is in the back. Everything else in them is a joke.

Nothing on this site or in any of our books is financial, legal, medical or any other kind of advice. Where a subject needs a professional, our books say so and point at a free, real one. Please do not make a decision about money, health or the law on the strength of a present.

Amazon Associates

We are a participant in the Amazon EU Associates Programme. Some links to Amazon carry our associate tag (aitrust-21) and we earn a small commission on qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. It does not change what we recommend, largely because the only things we recommend are our own books and we would recommend those anyway.

Using our words

The text and images on this site, and the contents of the books, belong to Verity AI Ltd. Quote a sentence or two with a link, by all means. Do not reproduce a page, a list or a chapter.

Where a book quotes another work for criticism or comparison, it does so briefly and with attribution, and nothing of that kind is reproduced on this site at all.

Links out

We link to the NHS, GOV.UK, Samaritans and other organisations because they are better at their subject than we are. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for what is on them.

If something is wrong

If a number, a phone line or an opening time in one of our books has changed or is wrong, tell us at hello@hometruthsbooks.com and we will correct it in the next printing. That is a genuine offer and it has been taken up.

Liability, in the plainest version we can manage

We take reasonable care with everything we publish, and everything factual in our books is checked at source. We cannot promise the site is always available or always up to date. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
