- Because sixty years is long enough for the numbers to stop being nostalgia and start being evidence. The gap between what a house cost in the mid-1960s and what one costs now is wide enough that it does the joke by itself.
- Is it about retirement?
- No. Sixty is not retirement for most people any more, and a book that assumes it is will be wrong about its reader. Retirement is a separate occasion and there is a separate book coming for it.
